KUSHTAKA

After reading The Strangest Story Ever Told by Harry Colp, I knew I wanted to make a film about the Alaskan Otter Man. Only, I didn't want to create something like Bigfoot — I wanted something psychological.

Through extensive research with local authors versed in the subject, I discovered the spiritual nature of the creature. It was off to the races after that.

Living in Kodiak, Alaska was already amazing. But pairing it with my dream, and the friends and family who helped make it a reality, made this my most cherished film.

"The cinematography (also Cameron Currin) was gorgeous at times. His use of the natural landscape was awe-inspiring as well as being formidably terrifying."
